- Setup & Repairs
- A new set up will vastly improve the tone and playability of a violin. Rebecca can assess the health of your violin and discuss any repairs necessary to get it back into shape.
A new set up typically includes: Fingerboard resurface, new pegs, top nut and tailpiece. A new soundpost and bridge would be individually cut and fitted.
Finally a clean and polish and a new set of strings completes the work.
- Repairs and restoration are an important part of Viva Violins. There are few problems which cannot be repaired.
Every instrument is different so please contact Viva Violins for a personal consultation and prices for repairs.
Other repairs commonly undertaken can include:
Cracks, varnish retouching, soundpost patch, peghole bushing, edge and corner replacement, neck graft, neck reshaping and bass bar replacement.
