Viva Violins stocks new instruments for beginners through to professional musicians. We can supply violins from 1/32 to full size, viola from 12” to 17”, cellos from 1/16 to full size and double basses from 1/8 to 3/4 to suit any budget and playing ability.
Ranges stocked include Primavera, Eastman, Hidersine, Wessex and Gewa.
Antique period instruments are also available for trial and purchase.

Bow re-hairing
Rebecca was taught to re-hair bows by Malcolm Taylor who trained and worked at Hills in London. She has since had further training in restoration and repairs with Tim Baker and Jutta Walcher.
New bows
Viva Violins is a stockist for Coda Bow, Westbury, L G Chen, Arcus, Knoll, Werner, Dorfler, Reis, Hoyer to name a few. We can also source new bows from eminent makers so contact us to discuss your needs.
Violin and viola set-up
It is essential that all violin and viola players have a comfortable, well fitting chinrest and shoulder rest. Rebecca is an expert in fitting all styles of rest and offers free, professional advice to all string players. Please book an appointment at the Viva studio for more information or for a trial.
Strings
Viva stocks all violin, viola and cello strings. Double bass strings can also be sourced. Please contact Rebecca for expert advice on which strings will suit your instrument.
